Rigor in the NoVi World Languages Classroom
Target Language Instruction
Instructors use the target language in 90% or more of their communication with students during class time. Additionally, students engage in the target language through interpersonal communication, reading, and writing.
Critical thinking
Instruction in NoVi World Language classes employs meaningful communicative tasks that require creativity, critical thinking, and higher-level thought.
Connections Beyond the Classroom
Students continue their study and experience with the target language outside of class time by making connections with other disciplines of study, making comparisons between their own culture and that of the target language, seeking exposure to authentic examples of the target language, and using the target language outside of the classroom.
